Shadows

Last week, Gary at Hobby Number 42 shared his fascination with shadows. This morning I caught some of my own: a window, a ceiling, light, and a moment of shadows.

And Waltzed Above

Two butterflies went out at noon
And waltzed above a stream,
Then stepped straight through the firmament
And rested on a beam ... (Emily Dickinson)

It's Fair To Say

This is a "shoutout" to Gayle in Dover.

It's fair to say that I don't actually keep gardens anymore. I have a little bit of green space and in that space are some things that bloom. I like this. It gives me a time and place for focus and meditation.

Now the Siberian Iris called "Paris Lights" is blooming. The Smokebush is at the height of its color and bloom. Following the tree peony, the herbaceous peonies seem calm and lady-like.

And Pretty Girl (whose real name is Minnie) spends more and more time at my front door.
